Last of the Jersey Cowboys
Here’s a poem I wrote, published in Unbridled IV a cowboy poetry anthology, published by Red Dashboard Press : http://cms.reddashboard.com/unbridled-anthologies/

This one is also known as Crown of Creation
Science Lesson You are made of atoms. Atoms are mostly empty space. You are mostly empty space. Get over yourself. You're a bag of mostly water. Water is mostly nothing: two hydrogen snuggled up with one oxygen. Atoms of air. Mostly empty space. A hundred million cells make up your body. There are a trillion bacteria in your body. "You" are mostly them. “They” are mostly you. Get over yourself. But wait. This just in: You are made of stardust! 13 billion years of congealing quarks Culminating in you! Yes, you! And you! And even you. Exquisite, singular, precious you! Stardust! Wow. A bigger bang made you than Ever mom and dad dreamt of. So go, Glow with the light of the sun that made you, And warm each one you touch. Dec 2014
Here’s another:
Ocean Symphony
The noise!
Unseen waves of water and sand
Boom over the dune.
How the soft water roars!
How the foam whispers in retreat.
It’s the world’s noise:
Gaia’s breath Gaia’s song
Crossing a vast ocean
Echoing off the backs
Of sperm whales
Borne by bluefin tuna
Conditioned by jellyfish rhythms
Played off the sides of silvered sardines
Inspired by a doting moon.
